A major step to the world level

Making its debut in the MFJ All Japan Road Race Championship in 2022, AutoRace Ube Racing Team is now entering its fifth year of competition.

In 2026, the team will take the next big step, competing full-time in the FIM Endurance World Championship, a world-class championship alongside MotoGP World Championship and the Superbike World Championship.

For the 2026 season, we will officially join the BMW Motorrad Motorsport Official Team family, becoming Japan’s first-ever BMW Motorrad Motorsport Official Team.　Recognized as one of Japan’s top racing teams, our goal is clear and simple — to win the World Championship.

2022年にMFJ全日本ロードレース選手権にデビューした「オートレース宇部 Racing Team」は活動5年目を迎える。いよいよ2026年はMotoGP、スーパーバイク世界選手権と並ぶワールドクラスの舞台、FIM Endurance World Championship（FIM世界耐久選手権）にフル参戦となる。

2026年はBMW MOTORRAD MOTORSPORT Official Teamのファミリーの中に入り、日本初のBMW MOTORRAD MOTORSPORT公式チームに就任。日本を代表するトップレーシングチームとして認められた我々の目標は当然、ワールドチャンピオンの獲得だ。

ジェームス文護

山口県周南市出身／Born in Shunan, Yamaguchi

A true Suzuka 8 Hours enthusiast, he has been attending the race since its very first edition in 1978.　After many years as a passionate fan, a chance encounter with Team Director Nakai led him to become a sponsor of Yamashina Kawasaki KEN RACING.

In 2022, he founded his own team, AutoRace Ube Racing Team, and entered the All Japan Road Race Championship.　Beyond motorsports, he is also a businessman who manages companies with a bold and dynamic style, operating various ventures based in Yamaguchi Prefecture.

1978年の鈴鹿８耐・第1回大会から観戦を続ける８耐フリーク。長年ファンとして観戦を続けていたが、中井チームディレクターとの偶然の出会いがキッカケで「山科カワサキ KEN RACING」のスポンサーに。 2022年に自身のチーム「オートレース宇部 Racing Team」を設立し、全日本ロードレースに参戦。「オートレース宇部」が入る複合型場外発売施設など、山口県を拠点にアジアなど国内外様々な国で企業経営するビジネスマンでもある。

中井貴之

京都市出身／Born in Kyoto

A former racing rider, he lost the lower part of his left leg in a racing accident in 2002, and has since lived with a prosthetic leg.

Despite this life-changing injury, he continued to take on new challenges. Riding a specially modified machine, he competed in the Suzuka 4 Hours Endurance Race, even showing impressive speed by qualifying third. He has also completed several full marathons — including Honolulu, Kyoto, and Osaka — finishing each in the four-hour range.

Later, while working as a sales representative for a major company, he met team owner James. Twenty years after his accident, in 2022, he was appointed Team Director of AutoRace Ube Racing Team.

元レーシングライダーのキャリアを持つが、2002年にレース中の事故で左足下腿部を失い義足生活となる。その後、特別仕様のマシンで鈴鹿４耐に挑戦し予選３番手の速さも見せ、ホノルル・京都・大阪マラソン等フルマラソンを４時間台で完走。大手企業の営業マン時代にオーナーのジェームスと出会い、事故から20年後の2022年、オートレース宇部Racing Teamのチームディレクターに就任した。

Tsunetaka Igami

伊神常高

名古屋市出身／Born in Nagoya

Known by the nickname “Tsune” among international colleagues, he is one of Japan’s leading race engineers.　After training as a mechanic in the United States, he built his career in the All Japan Road Race Championship and the Suzuka 8 Hours as a mechanic.　He later expanded his activities overseas, competing mainly in international series such as the Asian Championship and the Spanish Championship.

In 2022, he joined AutoRace Ube Racing Team together with Tsuda.　As an engineer, his role goes beyond data analysis — he is also responsible for determining machine specifications and overall technical direction.　For the 2026 season, he steps into the role of Team Manager, taking command of the team’s race　operations trackside.

TSUNEの愛称で海外の関係者から知られる日本を代表するレースエンジニア。アメリカでメカニックとして修行した後、全日本ロードレース、鈴鹿８耐でメカニックとして活躍。その後はアジア選手権、スペイン選手権など海外を主戦場にし、2022年、津田と共にオートレース宇部 Racing Teamに移籍した。エンジニアとしてデータを解析するだけでなく、マシンの仕様を決定するのも彼の役割。2026年シーズンはTEAM MANAGERに就任し、レースの陣頭指揮を執る。

ラミロ・アブラハム

Ramiro Abraham

スペイン・バルセロナ育ち／Raised in Barcelona

A young mechanic raised in Spain, Ramiro studied motorcycle racing mechanics at a specialized technical school before beginning his professional career in 2018 in the Spanish Championship paddock.　He later met engineer Tsune at SUZUKI JEG Racing, where his talent quickly stood out. Recognized for his skills, he was invited to come to Japan and join the team.

This season, he serves as one of the team’s regular mechanics, playing an important role in leading and coordinating our multinational crew.　His hobby is Latin dance.

白松万司

Manji shiramatsu

山口県出身／Born in Yamaguchi

Born in Yamaguchi Prefecture, he previously served as a bank branch manager before beginning a second chapter of his life working in the motorcycle world he has always loved.　As the team’s financial manager, he plays a vital role in supporting the organization with logical thinking and careful planning.

His calm, polite, and attentive manner has earned high praise from our partner companies, and he also serves as the team’s primary point of contact for external relations, where he continues to make a significant contribution.

山口県出身で、銀行支店長を経て、第二の人生は大好きなバイクに携わる。チームの金庫番としてロジカルな思考でチームを支える重要な役割を担う。彼の柔らかく丁寧な対応はチームのパートナー企業からも評判で、チームの対外的な窓口としても大活躍している。

辻野ヒロシ

Hiroshi Tsujino

鈴鹿市出身／Born in Suzuka

A native of Suzuka City, he has built a career spanning over 20 years as a race commentator and announcer.　He previously served as the lead announcer for the Suzuka 8 Hours and the All Japan Road Race Championship, but driven by a strong passion for the FIM Endurance World Championship, he joined the team in 2026.　He is responsible for public relations and event planning, working to strengthen the connection between the team and its fans and expand the team’s presence both on and off the track.

鈴鹿市出身のレース実況アナウンサーとして20年以上のキャリアを誇る。鈴鹿8耐や全日本ロードレース選手権のメインアナウンサーを務めていたが、FIM世界耐久選手権への強い憧れから2026年にチームに合流。広報やイベント企画の領域を担い、チームとファンの接点を拡大させていく役割を担う。
