When he was 7 years old, he saw kids his age riding pocket bikes at a nearby park and thought, “I want to ride too!” After persistently asking his father to take him to a circuit, he entered the world of motorcycle racing — the beginning of his journey.
In 2009, at just 14 years old, he made his debut in the All Japan Road Race Championship. By 2016, he stepped up to the J-GP2 class, where he dominated the season by winning the opening four races in a row, going on to claim the J-GP2 All Japan Championship title. His mechanic at the time was our current team manager, Tsunetaka Igami.
In 2017, he promoted to JSB1000, the premier class in All Japan Road Race Championship. At the same time, he began pursuing international competition, entering three rounds of the Spanish Superbike Championship (ESBK) as a wildcard.
From 2018 onward, he competed full-time in Spain, relocating overseas to further develop his skills while also continuing to race in the Suzuka 8 Hours. In 2023, he achieved his career-best result there with an impressive second-place podium finish.
In 2025, he joined AutoRace Ube Racing Team. Despite it being his first time racing both a BMW and a foreign motorcycle, he immediately delivered results — scoring a podium at the JSB1000 season opener and taking his first victory at Motegi that summer. With 2 wins, 6 podium finishes, and 3 pole positions, he secured a career-best 3rd place overall in the championship standings.
In the FIM Endurance World Championship, he set the fastest time in Friday qualifying at Suzuka, and in the Top 10 Trial recorded the third-fastest lap, just behind the Honda and Yamaha factory teams. Now recognized internationally as a rising talent, Uramoto will compete full-time in a world championship season for the first time this year.

Sylvain Guintoli is a veteran French racing rider with more than 30 years of experience in motorcycle racing. After competing successfully in European championships, he entered the 250cc World Championship full-time in 2001. From early in his career, he was highly regarded for his consistent riding style, steadily securing top-10 finishes. In 2007, he stepped up to the MotoGP. He achieved a career-best fourth-place finish at Motegi.
From 2010 onward, he moved to the Superbike World Championship, competing in a total of 170 races, recording 9 victories and 42 podium finishes. In 2014, riding for Aprilia, he became the
Superbike World Champion.
Japanese fans also know him well as a Suzuki MotoGP test rider, and he competed in the Suzuka 8 Hours with Yoshimura Suzuki. In 2021, he added another major achievement to his career by becoming FIM Endurance World Champion. In 2024 and 2025, he continued competing at the highest level with BMW’s factory team. During this time, he balanced racing with caring for his son Luca, who was battling pediatric cancer. Tragically, Luca passed away just before last year’s Suzuka 8 Hours. Carrying that loss with him, Sylvain now begins a new chapter this season, competing in the FIM Endurance World Championship together with AutoRace Ube Racing Team.

SOOMER
2.17.1998 Born in Estonia
Working as a reserve rider for BMW MOTORRAD World Endurance Team, Hannes Soomer will compete full-time in the premier Formula EWC class of the FIM Endurance World Championship in 2026 with AutoRace Ube Racing Team.
One of the few riders from Estonia, the 28-year-old has built extensive experience in sprint racing, making this step up to the Formula EWC class perfectly timed in his career.
Soomer developed his career primarily in the German championship scene, winning the European Supersport Cup title in 2017. From 2018 to 2022, he competed in the Supersport World Championship, racing for Yamaha, Honda, and Triumph, and achieved a career-best podium finish of third place.
In 2024, he switched to BMW, competing in the German championship while also being appointed as a reserve rider for the BMW Motorrad World Endurance Team. That same year, he joined TONE RT SYNCEDGE4413 at the Suzuka 8 Hours, riding a BMW to claim victory in the SST class.
Although he was scheduled to race with AutoRace Ube Racing Team at the 2025 Suzuka 8 Hours, an injury unfortunately prevented his participation. However, during testing he demonstrated impressive speed and potential, leaving a strong impression on the team. His consistency and pace in endurance racing are already proven, with SST class victories at both the Spa 8 Hours and the Bol d’Or 24 Hours. As one of BMW Motorrad’s most promising talents for the future, Soomer is widely regarded as one of the most anticipated riders for the 2026 season.
