Ube City in Yamaguchi Prefecture, the team’s hometown, appears as one of the locations that served as a model for the film *Evangelion: 3.0 +1.0 THRICE UPON A TIME *, and is the birthplace of Hideaki Anno, chief director of the *EVANGELION* Series—making it a place with a connection to the franchise. Against the backdrop of this special shared connection to “Ube,” a powerful dream collaboration will come to fruition this summer at Suzuka.

“Evangelion Racing,” born from a promotional partnership with “Evangelion: New Theatrical Edition,” made its debut at the Suzuka 8 Hours in 2010. In addition to motorcycle racing, the team is active in a variety of motorsports, including SUPER GT and Super Taikyu.

The BMW M1000RR ridden by the “AutoRace Ube Racing Team” possesses tremendous potential, and the team secured 3rd place in qualifying at last year’s Suzuka 8 Hours—the highest position among privateer teams. In 2026, the “AutoRace Ube Racing Team” and “Evangelion Racing” will join forces to aim for a podium finish at the Suzuka 8 Hours.
